About What2Text
Last updated: August 6, 2026
What2Text is an AI message writer for the texts that are hard to send. You describe the situation in your own words, and it drafts three messages you can actually use — for a crush, an ex, a grieving friend, or a conversation you have been putting off for a week.
Who runs this
What2Text is built and operated by Coditech, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland.
- NIP: 5273044186
- REGON: 524536663
- Email: support@what2text.com
It is a small independent product, not a venture-backed company or a content farm. One person writes the guides, builds the app, and answers the support email.
How the AI works
When you generate a message, the situation you describe is sent to OpenAI, which returns three drafts written for the tone and length you picked. We do not store the text of your situations or the messages it writes — only the fact that a generation happened, so we can count it against your plan. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
The drafts are a starting point, not a script. The messages that land are the ones you edit to sound like you.
How we write the guides
Every guide on this site is written in-house and revised when the advice stops matching how people actually text. We publish example messages we would be willing to send ourselves, and we say plainly when a message is a bad idea — a guide that only tells you what to send is half a guide.
We do not accept paid placements, affiliate links, or sponsored inclusions in any guide. Nothing on this site is ranked or recommended because someone paid for it. The only thing we sell is a What2Text subscription.
On the guides about grief and loss
Some of these pages are about the worst days of someone's life — a miscarriage, a funeral, the death of a parent, a serious accident. We take them seriously, and we want to be clear about what they are.
We are not therapists, grief counsellors, or medical professionals, and nothing here is professional advice. These guides are about wording: what to say when you are afraid of saying the wrong thing, and what tends to land badly even when it is well meant. They are not a substitute for support from a qualified professional.
If you or someone you are texting is in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line rather than looking for the right phrasing. In Poland, the free 24/7 crisis line is 116 123; the Europe-wide emergency number is 112.
Languages
What2Text is published in English, Polish and Ukrainian. The Polish and Ukrainian guides are translations of the English originals rather than separately researched articles, and the app itself writes messages in the language you write your situation in.
Contact
Questions, corrections, billing problems, or a guide you think gets something wrong — support@what2text.com. Corrections are genuinely welcome; if a guide gives advice that misses, we would rather hear it than not.
